Destiny 2. Help Forums. Monitored framerate is NOT dropping during the stutter. The game mostly runs great during combat between fps. Silky smooth.

It would eventually get bad enough to become more than an annoyance and start to affect gameplay quite a bit. I could even go to orbit and my mouse cursor would skip around while moving it around in the menus with my fps as a solid As soon as I restarted the game - BAM perfectly smooth again.

Changing any graphics settings vsync, aim smoothing, fullscreen, etc. Switching drivers the bug has been around for a year's-worth of driver updates now - and even completely changing hardware - does not fix the bug. What sets this bug apart from other stutter bugs? Destiny 2 does not have the frame stutter immediately after starting the game.

Reportedly, some people get it to reset by returning to orbit Still occurs with mouse disconnected and playing with only a controller.

It is still reproducible via these steps, but the bug is not as suddenly noticeable as it used to be : I have managed to reproduce this choppiness bug every time. I'd be interested in seeing if the exact same thing can be done by others with different rig setups: 1. Start up fresh game 2. Only a game restart will fix this.

Going back to orbit, or even loading into another area, the strange stuttering persists until game restart. I have noticed the game doing this "dropped frames" thing elsewhere - maybe just over time it gets worse. But this one public event was like night and day when it started.

Have to restart the game every hour or so to reset the stutter.Forums New posts Search forums. What's new New posts New resources New profile posts Latest activity. Hi All, I have been through all troubleshooting and guides that i can and can't figure out why my Twitch stream has a weird stutter every few seconds on stream when using OBS. Computer is a i with an nvidia GTX video card and 16gb ram. When i stream with Elgato Game Capture software i have no stutter issues, so i don't think it's my computer or Twitch Thanks for any help of troubleshooting. Let me know if you need anymore details to help. You have a little bit of lagged frames, which is strange, since this is usually caused by playing a game on the streaming computer and fully loading the GPU with the game.

You only have the capture card instead. This format has to be converted to the OBS-internal format, and this is not cheap in terms of computing costs. Change the format of the Elgato device to YV This is the format OBS operates on, and for this, no conversion has to take place, so the stress on the GPU is lower, and you probably get no lagged frames any more.

Thanks will give that a shot tonight and report back. Also may try Streamlabs OBS as i saw in another post. Stream Doctor New Member. Streamlabs is pretty and functional with its extra bells and whistles but certainly comes at an additional cost when it comes to CPU performance. I would recommend sticking with OBS standard until you get things sorted. Okay thanks again.

Tried the YV12 setting and also tried to change the downscale filter setting Can you take a look and let me know what you think?

Also, the log file is so large because it's continually tried to hook to my xbox windows app for party chat Narcogen Active Member. You say you have a stutter every couple of seconds. OBS is attempting to hook the Xbox.

These frames were dropped because of rendering lag: Just spitballing here. Also, have an integrated GPU and an Nvidia card. Are they each driving a display?Forums New posts Search forums. What's new New posts New resources New profile posts Latest activity.

I've managed to remove the issue of lagged frames by turning on v-sync in game and my preview on OBS on my gaming PC which now seems smooth and fluid, however on the streaming PC side of things the preview and stream stutter and is not smooth what so ever.

Also if there is an alternative solution to not using the NDI plugin or a capture card I would love to hear about it, especially if it provides better results. NDI is pretty much the best option here. Last edited: Feb 13, Bartfresse New Member. Concerning your problem with your streaming PC, make sure to provide log files. I had the same issue but somehow managed to fix the streaming pc issue but i cant remember how right now, there was so much i fiddled around with.

Maybe i can remember when looking at the log files. Yeh sorry thought I had uploaded them. Here you go! Gaming PC Log.

Streaming PC Log. PizzaPeter said:. Bartfresse I did what you said and set the base and output resolution of my streaming PC to x and my gaming PC to output x and there seems to be a slight difference however the issue is still occurring unfortunately. WreckedMech New Member. So I made a bit of a discovery regarding those lost frames. In a two system setup I was getting major frame drops on the incoming NDI connection. The odd solution was to Minimize a browser window i had set to monitor my Twitch broadcast.

Not Close, just Minimize, sometimes even tab away from a video playing window. Although i bet closing works too.

My advice if your having the OBS-NDI frame loss issue is to go through your windows and minimize them until you locate the one causing the stutter by being active.

Running the Task manager open while playing, i realized that every time the stutter happens there is a negative spike on the GPU current usage as you can see from the pics i linked.

I fixed it on my own. Had something to do with the Desktop Windows Manager eating up GPU resources when the desktop wallpaper was in slide mode.

Which means there is no throttling or anything like that happening. The sudden drops in frames can happen in totally empty areas, while really busy areas with a lot of people have zero drops in frames.

Steam Linking is here!

The drops in frames happens regardless of graphics settings 1, 2, 3and regardless if Vsync is on or off, and regardless if framerates are capped or not. As said, the temps are fine, the resources are fine even when the Iris Plus is clocked at MHz it is fine, then suddenly it can drop frames without clocking up to 1.

Voltages are fine, thermal thresholds are fine, total power usage is well below the limit, and there is no throttling causing it. I have the same problem. The issue for me was the desktop wallpaper. It was set to slide and change and every time it happened WoW stuttered. It only happened in WoW since it runs in windowed mode.

Worth looking if you have something running in the background taking up GPU resources when the stutter happens. Did you find any solution? This started for me today out of the clear blue. Please any help? Edit After more playtesting, If i look in the same direction more then a few seconds the fps drops, as soon as i turn the camera it goes back to normal for a few seconds until dropping again.

Edit Logged onto my retail account, no issue there. After logging back on to classic, it seems to have fixed itself, strange. Last thing I expected. You are a life save. As strange as it may seem. Technical Support. Running the Task manager open while playing, i realized that every time the stutter happens there is a negative spike on the GPU current usage as you can see from the pics i linked There is no temperature issue as both the CPU and the GPU are under-volted and the fans are running at full speed.

Some help would be appreciated. Acor-ragnaros August 29,am 2.Forums New posts Search forums. What's new New posts New resources New profile posts Latest activity. Resources Latest reviews Search resources. Members Current visitors New profile posts Search profile posts.

When I go back and watch the recordings the video shows a frame every 2 minutes and changes to another one. No problems with in game FPS, no lag or anything. And if you ask me to share somethign explain to me what it is because I dont understand a lot of the terms. Harold Active Member. OBS log from the recording session please. Harold said:. Switch your recording quality to high or indistinguishable and your encoder to software low cpu use, hardware qsv, or hardware nvenc, and make sure that OBS is set to run on the nvidia graphics adapter in the nvidia control panel.

It's right below the recording quality drop-down. Mark charitog said:.

Where can I switch the encoder to those options. I did the other two though. You did NOT use the settings I gave you in that log. In fact, you increased the cpu use instead of decreasing it. Hey there guys. I'm new to streaming and OBS alike.

Steam Linking is here!

I looked around and found a few setup guides that got me pretty far. I am having issues with the audio and video stuttering and freezing for periods. This is in League of Legends and during larger fights. I have checked that my upload speed is well within the margin for what it should be. I have tried fiddeling with the quality settings but get about the same result. Not entirely sure what is the issue this time. Below is a posted log from the latest stream attepmt.

I will give that a try in a little while. Will be back with results.Forums New posts Search forums. What's new New posts New resources New profile posts Latest activity. Resources Latest reviews Search resources. Members Current visitors New profile posts Search profile posts.

ALSO it's happening with Elgato only Any idea? Sapiens Forum Moderator. Update to the latest version of Studio and post a new log.

You're several major revisions behind. Sapiens said:. The latest release is I'm going to guess that this is a case of USB controller overload. Does lowering the output resolution of the Elgato or moving it to a different USB port help at all? You must log in or register to reply here.
